DHL Group Targets Tech Talent in India, Kicks Off IT Services Center in Indore
In a significant move, the global logistics giant, DHL Group, has opened a new DHL IT Services (ITS) center in Indore, India. This expansion is part of DHL Group's ongoing commitment to India and its growing customer demand.
The new center, located at Brilliant Summit, marks the first DHL ITS center in India to also house a technology training academy. Indore was chosen for its thriving academic ecosystem and strong retention rates. The center has already welcomed 100 employees.
Spearheading this expansion are Supriya Rao Patwardhan, Executive Vice President and Global Head of IT Services, DHL Group, and Johan Berghs, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Digital Solutions and Head of ITS India.
The new center adds to DHL's existing strong presence in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, India. The expansion underscores DHL Group's long-term commitment to India as a hub for digital innovation and technology talent.
DHL Group has been investing in India over the past few years, upgrading its facilities to meet the growing demands of the digital age. This move is a testament to the company's belief in India's potential as a digital powerhouse.
Meanwhile, another major investment is being made in the tech sector. Pharmaceutical giant, AstraZeneca, plans to invest ₹176 crore to expand its Global In-House Centre (GITC) in Chennai.
In other news, Supreet Chemicals has filed draft papers with SEBI to raise ₹499 crore via an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹15,516 crore across the UK and Germany, further strengthening its ties with these countries.
These developments underscore the vibrant and growing tech sector in India, attracting both domestic and international investments.
