In the Münster government district, a series of digital parent evenings have been launched as part of a cross-regional cooperation between school psychological counseling centers. These online events, available since the last school year, are open to all parents in the region.

Dr. Petra Kortas-Hartmann from the Münster government district reported that these digital parent evenings have been well-attended, with some events attracting over 100 participants. The online parent evenings are held via video conference and aim to provide more information and support to parents in various areas related to school, learning motivation, homework challenges, and managing smartphones.

Each digital parent evening focuses on a specific topic complex. For example, upcoming topics include "Promoting Learning Motivation in Your Child" and "Managing Homework Challenges." An overview of these topics and the corresponding dates is provided on the respective school psychological counseling centre's website.

The online parent evenings are offered by all school psychological counseling centers from the five districts and the three independent cities in the Münster government district. Dr. Kortas-Hartmann stated that these events provide knowledge, offer tips, tricks, and options for action for guardians.

The digital parent evenings are free of charge, and registrations can be made via the respective school psychological counseling center that organizes the event. The Münster government district encourages all parents and guardians to take advantage of these valuable resources to support their children's education.
