Digital Representation of Medical Professionals: Introduction of a Doctor's Digital Twin

In a groundbreaking move, 9verse AI FZCO has unveiled the first AI digital twin of a physician. The digital twin, based on the public health expertise of Dr. Mansoor Anwar Habib, an Emirati physician and wellness advocate, went live at the end of July.

Dr. Habib's digital twin is designed to provide health awareness and educational support in regions suffering from doctor and healthcare worker shortages, such as the Middle East and Africa. The AI companion is not intended to serve up medical advice but rather to help users better understand health topics, recognize when to seek real medical attention, and access trusted information in a non-intimidating way.

The digital twin is built on a medical-specific large language model (LLM) and is designed to understand health-related conversations with contextual relevance. It is available for users to engage with to explore general wellness topics, preventive lifestyle guidance, and common public health concerns.

The digital twin replicates Dr. Habib, offering free, 24/7 health awareness support in multiple languages, including Emirati Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, and Chinese. It follows strict guidelines to ensure responsible and ethical deployment, including HIPAA-aligned privacy infrastructure, multilingual disclaimers, content guardrails, and data protection policies in compliance with UAE regulations and global standards.

Dr. Habib expressed his excitement about the AI companion, stating that it allows him to support his community with wellness advice, anytime and anywhere. He added that the initiative is a landmark moment for 9verse and the broader digital transformation journey in the region, combining local innovation with global technology.

The digital twin is a significant step towards bridging the gap in healthcare accessibility in regions with doctor shortages. It serves as a first-line awareness and educational tool for users, offering a reliable source of health information in a user-friendly format.
