In a significant development, Neusser Police announced the arrest of a 26-year-old man, identified as Hasan K., on Sunday, September 6, 2020, around 4:15 AM. The suspect, believed to be a drug dealer, was apprehended in Neuss, Germany.

The arrest took place after the suspect was spotted riding a bicycle without lights on Roman Street. Upon seeing a patrol car, he attempted to flee but lost control and fell. Despite being handcuffed, the suspect continued to resist and injured an officer by biting his hand.

The officers, who responded swiftly to the scene, found three bags of a suspected stimulant, likely amphetamine, and several hundred tablets on the suspect. Additionally, a previously used bicycle by the suspect was also seized.

The suspect's aggressive and irrational behaviour, including screaming, punching, and kicking, further raised suspicions about his involvement in illegal activities. He was taken to a specialized clinic after a doctor took a blood sample from him.

The case is currently being investigated by the Neusser Police's Criminal Commission 12. It is important to note that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
