Appetizers include nachos, quesadillas, jalapeño poppers, and larger plates like fajitas and botanas (snack platters). The "Super Burrito" section of the menu offers hearty options filled with various proteins.

Entrees at El Talpense are approximately $20, making it relatively pricier compared to other classic Mexican restaurants in Lafayette. However, the restaurant's unique atmosphere and authentic Mexican cuisine may justify the higher price point for some diners.
