Diogo Leite trains alone after Tousart departs from Berlin
Lucas Tousart Departs Union Berlin for Stade Brest
After two seasons with 1. FC Union Berlin, midfielder Lucas Tousart is moving to Stade Brest in France. The transfer, which occurred this summer, is not accompanied by details about the transfer fee.
Tousart, who initially joined Union Berlin from Hertha BSC in 2020, played in 40 competitive games for the club. During his tenure, he proved to be a valuable asset, showcasing his skills and leadership as the captain of the French U21 national team.
In a surprising turn of events, Tousart has returned to his home country. He spent the previous season in Kรถpenick within Berlin after Hertha BSC's relegation in the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile, Diogo Leite, another Union Berlin player, remains at the club. However, Leite has not been deployed this season and is still on standby for a transfer, but has not yet found a new club. On Monday, Leite was seen training individually.
Tousart, on the other hand, has signed a two-year contract with Stade Brest. The details of his release from Union Berlin have not been disclosed.
As Tousart embarks on a new chapter in his career, the spotlight shifts to Union Berlin as they continue their search for a suitable replacement for the departing midfielder.
