Disagreement among fan base stirring up dissatisfaction

DJ Calvin Harris has shared a preview of the new version of his hit single 'Ocean', originally featuring Miley Cyrus, during his performance at the Tecate Emblema in Mexico City. The new version, which has been met with anticipation, features Canadian artist Jessie Reyez as the lead vocalist.

Harris clarified that the reason for not releasing the original version was due to a misunderstanding. The original version, which was initially recorded with another singer, has not been publicly documented as to who the singer was or why it was not released.

The new version of 'Ocean' is expected to be this summer's hit, following the success of Miley Cyrus' recent track 'Flowers' and her Grammy win. Harris has an "unreal" opinion of Jessie Reyez's voice and considers her his "musical goddaughter" and the definitive interpreter of this track.

Harris hinted that he prefers the new version of 'Ocean' on TikTok, and even included a new snippet of the song in August 2023. Despite some 'Smilers' considering Harris's messages as an attack on Miley Cyrus, Harris responded with a laughing emoji in response to a message saying Miley's version is better.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus is currently experiencing one of the best moments of her career, with rumors circulating that she could be the featured artist to perform at the next Super Bowl. This news comes after the success of her recent album release.

With the new version of 'Ocean' now in the spotlight, fans are eagerly awaiting its official release. The collaboration between Calvin Harris and Jessie Reyez promises to deliver a fresh take on the popular track.
