Mitch William Gross, a 34-year-old resident of Iowa, has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for wire fraud. The sentencing, announced by United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa, was based on Gross's actions against his employer, Ruan Transportation Corporation.
According to public court documents, Gross's fraudulent activities took place between September 2021 and October 2022. During this period, he used business-related credit cards for personal purchases, totaling over $140,000. Gross submitted falsified receipts and mischaracterized these charges on his expense reports.
