HSV Squad Changes Ahead of FC Bayern Clash

Hamburger SV (HSV) manager Merlin Polzin is set to make changes to his squad for the upcoming match against FC Bayern on September 13. Some regular starters may find themselves on the bench or even out of the squad due to the manager's strategic decisions.

One of the most notable changes could see Luka Vuskovic making his debut in the starting lineup, potentially displacing Warmed Omari, Daniel Elfadli, or Jordan Torunarigha. Vieira, on the other hand, is expected to start as a playmaker with a strong left foot from the outside into the center, according to Polzin's training session observations on Tuesday.

The competition for the role of first alternative on the (semi-)right offensive side is fierce between Sahiti and Rayan Philippe. However, Lokonga is a candidate to replace Nicolai Remberg in the starting lineup, and Vieira could start on the right offensive wing.

Elfadli could become an option for midfield if Polzin plans with Vuskovic as a central player in the defensive three-chain. This move could put Jonas Meffert's position in the squad in question, as he didn't play against St. Pauli and now has competition from Lokonga.

Giorgi Gocholeishvili is suspended and will not play, while Otto Stange has been loaned to SV Elversberg and will not be available. Robert Glatzel, Immanuel Pherai, and Fabio Baldé were not involved in the match against St. Pauli due to injuries and illnesses. Baldé is currently with the Portuguese U21 national team and is unlikely to return to the squad for the match against FC Bayern.

Bakery Jatta, Guilherme Ramos, and Silvan Hefti are candidates for departure and are unlikely to play in the near future. Daniel Peretz, the backup goalkeeper, is unlikely to lose his place in the squad in the near future.

Aboubaka Soumahoro and Alexander Røssing-Lelesiit are still in contention for squad spots. Pherai and Glatzel are training during the international break with the aim of being in the squad.

Yussuf Poulsen is the first alternative in the HSV attack behind Ransford Königsdörffer. Sahiti and Philippe are competing for the role of first alternative if Vieira locks in on the (semi-)right offensive side. Remberg and Sahiti could go to the bench if Lokonga and Vieira start.

Claus Costa stated that HSV might give a player away abroad if some markets are still open. The squad changes ahead of the FC Bayern match promise an exciting and unpredictable lineup for HSV fans.
