Disney Plus acquires over 3,000 TV shows and films from ZDF

Disney+ Expands its Offerings with ZDF Content

Starting from Wednesday, Disney+ will provide access to the first of the new ZDF content in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This exciting collaboration marks an important milestone in a partnership with leading European broadcasters.

The new content on Disney+ includes popular crime series such as "SOKO", "Munich Mord", "Nord Nord Mord", "Marie Brand", "Wilsberg", "Der Alte", "Der Kriminalist", "Ein starkes Team", and "Die purpurnen Flüsse". In addition to the previously available "Der Bergdoktor" and "Die Bergretter", the "ZDF Films and Series" collection on Disney+ now offers a wider variety of crime series and shows.

The producer or rights holder of the films and series offered by ZDF on Disney+ in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is ZDF Studios, which has a multi-year licensing agreement with Disney+ to provide over 3,000 episodes and films, including many well-known ZDF crime series and family formats.

The new content on Disney+ can be found under a curated collection called "ZDF Films and Series". This expansion of the collection is intended to cater to a wider audience, with the addition of numerous successful crime series and shows.
