Disorderly Mob disturbance at Oberhausener Main Station - Federal authorities intervene (BPOL NRW: Man involved in station riot, federal police intervene)

A 32-year-old homeless man caused a disturbance in a drugstore at Oberhausen Central Station on Sunday morning at 09:45, according to a report transmitted via news aktuell by the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin.

The man, upon arrival at the station, made a threat to "kill or stab the deployed police officers and passersby." During the incident, he hurled insults, threatened the officers, and spat at them multiple times. He also directed insults at the staff in the drugstore.

A passing federal police officer and an employee managed to control the man, but he attempted to free himself using kicks and punches during transportation to the station. Despite his resistance, the man was arrested on-site and transported to the station.

Throughout the incident, all officers remained unharmed and fit for duty. The local authority and the on-duty police doctor were called in due to the man's behavior. The doctor decided against commitment under the PsychKG, but the man was taken to a suitable clinic as he volunteered for commitment.
