On Monday, August 25th, an early-morning traffic collision occurred at the crossroads of Kessenicher Straße and Jülicher Ring, Euskirchen, at 6 AM.

In the early hours of August 25th, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Kessenicher Straße and Jülicher Ring in Euskirchen. The incident, which took place at around 6 AM, involved two drivers travelling from different directions.

According to the police's traffic accident team from Euskirchen, who handled the incident report, the 72-year-old driver from the Rhein-Erft district was travelling on the Jülicher Ring towards Kölner Straße, while the 59-year-old driver from Euskirchen was travelling on Kessenicher Straße towards Euskirchen-Kessenich.

The collision occurred when the 72-year-old driver ignored a red light, resulting in a collision at the intersection mentioned above. Both drivers were injured and required immediate attention. The fire department was called to extract the 59-year-old driver from her vehicle.

Both drivers were then transported to hospitals by ambulance for further treatment. The accident involved a collision between the two vehicles and caused a significant disruption to the morning traffic.

The intersection of Kessenicher Straße and Jülicher Ring was closed until 8:55 AM to allow for the clearance of the accident scene and the investigation by the police. The Police Inspection Straubing (Polizeiinspektion Straubing) is responsible for creating the accident report.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder to all road users to adhere to traffic rules and signals to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
