DJI's latest Mic 3 model debuts with a revamped design, multi-transmitter compatibility up to four, extended range, and a more substantial battery.

DJI Mic 3 arrives with a fresh design, support for four transmitters, extended range, and a larger battery.

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, DJI has introduced the Mic 3, a groundbreaking microphone system designed for creators who value both audio and visuals.

The Mic 3 is a versatile tool, capable of handling up to four transmitters and eight receivers, making it ideal for complex production setups. Each transmitter weighs a mere 16 grams, with a slim design that ensures comfort during long recording sessions.

The standard configuration of the Mic 3 costs €309 (approximately Rs 31,700). This kit includes two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case. For those looking for a simpler, one-to-one setup, a separate offering priced at €199 (approximately Rs 20,469) is also available.

One of the standout features of the Mic 3 is its increased storage capacity. The Mic 3 now boasts a 32 GB storage capacity, sufficient for dual-file 32-bit float recording. This expansion ensures that creators have ample space to capture high-quality audio without worrying about running out of storage.

The Mic 3 also offers three tone presets: Regular, Rich, or Bright, allowing users to tailor the audio to their specific needs. Additionally, DJI has added Adaptive Gain Control to the Mic 3, offering two modes: Automatic and Dynamic, ensuring optimal audio levels in various environments.

The Mic 3's range has seen a significant improvement, reaching up to 400 meters. This expansion allows for greater flexibility in recording situations. The battery life of the Mic 3 case has also been extended, stretching up to 28 hours, an improvement over the 18 hours on the Mic 2.

The Mic 3 receiver can separate four independent audio tracks in Quadraphonic mode when paired with compatible Sony cameras or editing software, providing a new level of audio precision. The charging case for the Mic 3 transmitters holds two transmitters and one receiver, ensuring that your equipment is always ready for use.

The event, taking place from 5-9 September, marks an exciting time for creators as they can now explore the possibilities that the Mic 3 offers. The standard kit is now available for purchase, opening up a new era of audio-visual creativity.
