Dog Owner Urged to Report Incident: Runner Encountered Jumping Shepherd, Police Intervene

In a troubling incident, a jogger was attacked by a black shepherd dog in Hamm's Hallohpark near the football pitch on Thursday evening, at approximately 9:30 PM.

The jogger, who initially declined medical treatment, later revealed that the injury was more severe than initially thought. The exact nature of the injury has not been disclosed.

The location of the attack, as well as the identity of the dog's owner, have been the subject of much speculation. However, the police in Hamm have requested the owner to contact their nearest station or call them at 02381 916 3442.

At the time of the attack, the owner of the German Shepherd was sitting on a bench with three other people, but it is unclear whether they were aware of the dog's aggressive behaviour. The dog was on a leash during the incident.

The name of the owner, who is approximately 16 years old, has not been made publicly available. The police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
