Last Wednesday, a hazardous situation unfolded on federal highway 7 in the direction of Kassel, height Ildehausen. A detached roof box from a car spilled various items onto the left and middle lanes, causing an approaching car to be damaged. Fortunately, the occupants of the damaged vehicle did not suffer any personal injury.

The incident prompted the police to stop traffic completely at the hazardous location. A civilian patrol from the Financial Control Black Work Goettingen of the Main Customs Office Braunschweig was on the scene, helping with the cleanup. The customs officer and her colleagues took initial safety measures and diverted traffic to the right lane.

After about 20 minutes, the police reopened the highway, and the driver of the vehicle causing the damage was able to reload his travel luggage. The Main Customs Office Braunschweig resumed its journey after the incident.
