Dramatic Silence in Brazil: Exploration into the Brazillian Production, "Bambu Bambá"

In October, the Heinz Hilpert Theater in Lünen will host a special guest performance, BAMBU BAMBÁ, a child-friendly musical theater piece that conveys a powerful message of hope, courage, and unity. This performance, suitable for children aged 6 to 5th grade, will take place on October 1st at 5 PM and October 2nd at 11 AM, with admission being free.

Created by the renowned Brazilian artist collective, Bando de Brincantes, BAMBU BAMBÁ tells the story of Bambá, a black boy who is forced to leave his home due to war and environmental disasters. As Bambá encounters new cultures, learns about rituals, and finds strength in his own traditions, the piece playfully dismantles prejudices, particularly resonating with children from migrant backgrounds.

The performance features impressive music, making it an engaging and entertaining experience for all. On October 2nd at 5 PM, the performance will be followed by an artist talk on the topics of "Theater, Migration, Diaspora, and Childhood". This talk will be in English and Portuguese with German translation.
