Drones and missiles slammed into the Dnepropetrovsk region by Russia, resulting in casualties and damages, according to OVA reports
In a series of attacks on the night of September 7, 2022, the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine was targeted by Russia, according to reports. The Russian military launched a massive combined strike using over 800 drones and multiple missiles, causing widespread destruction and casualties.
The Pokrovske community in the region was hit this morning, with details still being clarified regarding the extent of the damage. Casualties were reported in various locations, including Kryvyi Rih, where three men were injured, one severely, due to the rocket and drone strikes. A 54-year-old man was killed, and a 64-year-old local resident was injured as a result of the shelling in Nikopol.
Residential buildings, enterprises, and infrastructure were damaged in the attacks. In Nikopol, a private house was destroyed, and two others were damaged. Gas stations, greenhouses, and four outbuildings were also destroyed in the same area. High-rise buildings and a garage were damaged in Kryvyi Rih, and numerous fires broke out due to the rocket and drone strikes.
A factory, administrative building, garage, private house, and vehicles were damaged in Kryvyi Rih. Enemy drones also hit the Hrushevska community in Kryvyi Rih, causing a private house to catch fire. Furthermore, in the Petropavlivka and Mezhova communities of the Synelnykove district, a private house and dry wood were on fire yesterday.
In the city of Nikopol, terror continued throughout the evening with loud shelling in Pokrovske, Marganets, Myrove communities, and the city center. Infrastructure damage was also reported in Dnipro, where attack drones struck, causing unspecified damage.
The attacks come as a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict in the region, and the Ukrainian people continue to face the brunt of the violence. As the situation develops, updates regarding casualties, damages, and the overall impact of the attacks will be provided.
