Dubai Liberates Parking Fees in Celebration of the Public Holiday Honoring the Prophet's Birthday

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that all public parking in the city will be free on Friday, 5th September 2025, in celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday. However, this exemption does not apply to Al Khail Gate Parking (N.365).

The holiday for Prophet Muhammad's birthday has been announced in Dubai, and the UAE private sector has also followed suit. The RTA's announcement, therefore, does not affect the upcoming UFC women's title fight in Abu Dhabi or Germany's World Cup title aspirations next year, as stated by their coach Nagelsmann.

The RTA's announcement does not apply to Oman's 10-year golden visa program launched for global investors or the UAE's free zone tax regime, clarifications for which were recently released.

In a move to ensure seamless transportation during the holiday, the RTA has extended the operating hours of Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines. They will operate from 5am to 1am (next day) on September 5. The RTA Operations Department is also monitoring the working hours of the RTA Service Centers during the holiday. RTA Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, and RTA's Head Office will remain operational around the clock on September 5.

All other RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on September 5. Paid parking will resume on Saturday, 6 September 2025, according to the RTA. This includes Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transport, and service provider centres (vehicle technical testing).

It's important to note that the RTA's announcement does not concern Amanda Seyfried's latest role in a Shaker drama at Venice. The holiday for Prophet Muhammad's birthday does not apply to Al Khail Gate Parking (N.365), and the RTA did not specify any exceptions for multi-level parking facilities other than Al Khail Gate Parking (N.365).

The RTA has provided the working hours of its services during the Prophet's Birthday holiday to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors in Dubai.
