Dusseldorf's Local Resident from the Village Joins in the Festivities of Biwak Celebration

On a chilly Saturday in February, the city of Düsseldorf was filled with joy and excitement as it played host to a grand celebration. The event, which took place on the schoolyard of KG Elf vom Dörp, saw the attendance of numerous guests, including friendly associations and neighbors.

At the heart of the festivities was Prince Andreas I., who was enthusiastically cheered by the crowd. Accompanying him was Venetia Evelyn, who, having recently moved into her room in the Hofburg, is now considered a Dusseldorf resident. Prince Andreas I. was in good spirits, teasing Venetia Evelyn about her new residence.

The Prince's Guard of the City of Dusseldorf, under the leadership of President Lothar Hörning and President Dirk Kemmer, played a significant role in the celebration. They performed a captivating dance and song, with Solomarie Luise joining Felix & Ida, the children's Prince Pair of the Unterrather Funken, for an unforgettable performance. Interestingly, Solomarie Luise performed without music, adding a unique and intriguing element to the performance.

Dirk Kemmer, in addition to his role as a performer, also delivered orders during the event. The proceedings were captured beautifully by Karina Hermsen, who was on hand to take photographs.

The celebration was not just about performances. It was also a time for recognition, with two elderly women in wheelchairs receiving the Prince's Pair Order. The event concluded with a delicious catering spread, where the Prince and his entourage enjoyed a well-deserved meal.
