"Each person contributes to the making of history"
Discover the captivating exhibition, "Every Person is History," now open in Lübeck. This thought-provoking display, located at Königstraße 54-56, is a must-see for residents of all ages.
Running from Monday to Friday, 10:00-19:00, the exhibition can be easily found on Google Maps. The exhibition aims to challenge the traditional perception of history, demonstrating that it's not just confined to books or archives, but alive in the personal memories of people within Lübeck.
The exhibition features a collection of portraits and interviews from residents of diverse backgrounds, including those with wartime experiences and refugees or migrants. Each portrait, when scanned with a QR code, offers a direct insight into the life stories of these individuals, making the exhibition an engaging and educational experience.
The implementation of the exhibition involves young people from Lübeck, who have prepared and conducted the interviews under the guidance of filmmaker and photographer Mathias Hollaender. The portraits and films have been funded by the Dräger Foundation.
The exhibition is a collaborative effort between Übergangshaus, Willy-Brandt-Haus Lübeck, and Geschichtserlebnisraum Roter Hahn e.V. For more event dates from Übergangshaus, visit luebeck-tourismus.de/uebergangsweise.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and no registration is required. The exhibition is suitable for visitors aged 10 years and up. For more contributions from Lübeck and the surrounding area, visit luebeck-tourismus.de/.

The exhibition serves as a poignant reminder that history unfolds among us, not just "up there." It's a testament to the power of personal stories and the importance of preserving them for future generations.
