Early morning chaos in Dusseldorf: Basket gets kicked senselessly

On a chilly February evening, the heart of the city came alive as KG Regenbogen hosted their annual celebration on Hafenstraße, in front of the Nähkörbchen. The event was marked by a lively atmosphere, filled with music, performances, and the presence of the Tollitäten and their Narrenvolk.

The day began with a unique spectacle, as the Tollitäten addressed their Narrenvolk from a household ladder. The scene was reminiscent of a modern-day king addressing his subjects, albeit in a more whimsical manner.

As the day progressed, music groups took to the stage, much to the delight of the crowd. However, neighboring bars voiced concerns that these groups were occupying too much space during the celebration. Despite this, the festivities continued uninterrupted.

DJ Dirk provided the musical entertainment, setting the tone for an enjoyable day. The program featured performances by Heinz Huelshoff, the Wimmer Band, and singer Bianca Schnelle, in addition to The Hammer. The Hammer, as per the provided photo, was a highlight of the event.

Andreas Mauska, president of KG Regenbogen, entered the celebration earlier than his performance time, clad in his regal attire as a prince. The princess of KG Regenbogen, Princess Helena, also made an appearance on the day.

Confetti protection was provided for the prince's tea during the celebration, ensuring a mess-free event. It's worth noting that no public order office employees were called during the celebration this year, and no new complaints or issues from neighboring bars were reported.

In a thought-provoking moment, the Venetian Tollitäte compared his position to the Statue of Liberty, drawing parallels between the symbol of freedom and his role in the celebration.

Norman Sandrock, 1st chairman of KG Regenbogen, welcomed the crowd, setting the stage for a day of fun, music, and camaraderie. The photos for the article were expertly captured by Karina Hermsen.

Despite the cold weather, the spirit of the celebration was warm and inviting, bringing together the community in a joyous display of unity and festivity. The KG Regenbogen celebration on Hafenstraße is truly a unique event that continues to captivate the hearts of those who attend.
