EBay's pre-owned, circular fashion event to resume in September

In a significant stride towards sustainable fashion, eBay is launching its Endless Runway event in September. This global circular fashion initiative reflects the permanent shift in how people shop, driven by growing consumer interest in resale.

The event will showcase pre-loved items from various designers' spring-summer 2026 collections, offering the most dynamic selection of vintage finds, pre-loved pieces, and emerging designer fashion. The designer lineup for the events in New York and London has not been publicly announced yet.

Sustainability is a key focus of eBay's Endless Runway event and program. Last year, approximately 40% of all clothing, shoes, and accessories sold on eBay were pre-owned. This shift towards circular fashion is not only environmentally friendly but also economically viable, as it extends the life of garments and reduces waste.

Alexis Hoopes, the vice president of global fashion at eBay, said, "eBay is committed to making sustainable shopping accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Our Endless Runway event is a testament to that commitment."

Technology plays a significant role in the operation of eBay's fashion marketplace. The term "vintage" was searched over 1,200 times per minute on eBay last year. With close to 2.4 billion listings for vintage items across its marketplace last year, eBay is a leading platform for pre-loved fashion.

The eBay Endless Runway event is produced in collaboration with the Council of Fashion Designers of America, British Fashion Council, and Fédération de la Mode Circulaire. These partners represent the fashion capitals of New York, London, Milan, and Paris. New partners for the event include Erdem, Luar, Altuzarra, Kallmeyer, and Ahluwalia.

The eBay Endless Runway shows will take place on September 10 in New York and September 18 in London. During these events, eBay will host pre-loved runway shows with a real-time shopping component, allowing attendees to purchase the items they see on the catwalk immediately.
