"Eco-friendly gatherings in city and local libraries - a celebration of Sustainability Days"
In the heart of Münster, the city library and its neighbourhood libraries are gearing up for a week of sustainable fun as part of the city's Sustainability Days, running from September 5th to 12th.
On Tuesday, September 9th, at 4:30 PM, the Gievenbeck-Auenviertel neighbourhood library will host a storytime session titled "It's only one" about environmental protection. This event is part of the series "Living better together - today, tomorrow, and in the future."
For children aged 4 and above, the city library's picture book cinema will present the story "Mr. Octopus cleans up the sea" on Wednesday, September 10th. From 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, younger visitors can explore green digital worlds using the Switch console.
Artistic minds can participate in a creative print workshop on recycled materials at the city library on September 8th. Meanwhile, at the Gievenbeck-Auenviertel neighbourhood library, a workshop for creating board or card games from leftover materials will take place on the same day.
On Wednesday, September 10th, from 4 to 5:30 PM, the St. Michael Library in Gievenbeck (Enschedeweg 2) will host a book art creation event called "Bookogami." For those who love puzzles, an exchange will be held at the Aaseemarkt neighbourhood library (Goerdelerstraße 51-53) on Friday, September 12th, from 3 to 6 PM.
A Rug flea market for children aged 7 to 14 will take place on September 6th at the city library. For those with a knack for sewing, a workshop for children aged six and up will be held on September 11th, where book bags will be made from fabric scraps.
Environmentally conscious gamers can join the gaming session "Nature, Animals & Sustainability" for children aged 7 and above on September 10th. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, a Repair Café for toy repairs for children and parents will also be held on the same day.
Furniture upcycling and repair café for children aged 14 and above and adults will take place on September 9th at the city library. Additionally, a Tote bag creation workshop from old T-shirts will take place on September 8th at the Gievenbeck-Auenviertel neighbourhood library.
