Headline: Senior Cycling Events Set for Borken, Bocholt, and Ahaus in 2025

In an effort to promote safety and prevention for older cyclists, the "Senior Cycling" event will be making its way to several towns in Circle Borken next year. The kick-off event will take place in Gronau on 28.08.2025, with subsequent events scheduled in Borken, Bocholt, and Ahaus on 25.09.2025, 09.10.2025, and 30.10.2025 respectively.

Registration for these events can be done by phone at 02861-900-6161. The Senior Cycling concept prioritizes safety and prevention, catering to the individual needs of each cyclist. Participants can expect to experience critical traffic situations first-hand and discuss them with experts during the event.

The route guidance for Senior Cycling is based on current accident hotspots in the circle area, ensuring a safe and educational experience. It's worth noting that the town of Circle Borken has the highest Pedelec ownership rate in the nation.

The future Senior Cycling events in the district of Borken will be coordinated by the DRK (German Red Cross) district association, known for their involvement in senior activities and community events in this region. Although the exact specific event coordination for Senior Cycling is not explicitly stated, the DRK district Borken is likely to take the lead in such cycling events for seniors.

Important tips on behaviour at intersections and roundabouts, correct use of bike lanes, and the importance of helmets, lights, and traffic-safe equipment will be conveyed during the events.

For media inquiries, please contact the Circles Police Department Borken: Sandra Biedermann, Leonie Dreier, Markus Huels, Peter Lefering, Thorsten Ohm, Muzeyyen Sander, Tina Schellberg. More information can be found on their official website here.

The Senior Cycling event takes place regularly in the future, with a maximum participant limit of twelve people per event. Join us next year for a safe, educational, and enjoyable cycling experience!
