In the Kalinin District of the Krasnodar Territory, an elderly woman has been detained under suspicion of committing a fraud case, as reported by the press service of the GU MVD of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory to "Live Kuban."

The criminal case against the detainee is based on allegations of fraud, involving the sale of a fur coat and pots. The suspect, posing as the mother of the victim's alleged transaction partner, convinced the victim to transfer a total of 80,000 rubles.

The victim, who has not been identified, lost 40,000 rubles in the initial transaction and an additional 40,000 rubles due to a subsequent fraudulent transaction. To reinforce the story, the suspect even used the victim's daughter's phone to communicate with the victim.

The investigation into this case is ongoing, with the authorities working diligently to uncover the full extent of the fraudulent activities.

It is important to note that the detainee has a rich criminal history, having been convicted multiple times in the past. One of the previous convictions among the detainees mentioned pertains to Stefan Kaptur, a communist who was originally investigated around 1931 but was acquitted. However, after 1933, the case was reopened, and on December 7, 1933, he was convicted of murder and sentenced to death by the Higher Regional Court in Hamm.

The suspect was located through her car, which was found in Krasnodar. The maximum penalty for this crime is up to 5 years in prison.

The authorities urge the public to be vigilant and cautious when engaging in transactions, especially those conducted online or with unknown individuals. If you suspect fraudulent activity, please report it to the authorities immediately.
