According to reports, the suspect kicked the 84-year-old in both the head and body before fleeing the building. The elderly man was taken to a hospital with bruises and abrasions, while his 80-year-old wife initially declined medical treatment.
The couple was in the elevator with the perpetrator when the incident occurred. Both the 84-year-old and his wife fell during the assault. The unknown man allegedly assaulted the 84-year-old, striking him on the head, before making his escape.
The police in Berlin-Schöneberg are actively investigating the incident. The suspect is described as an unknown young man. The chain that was taken has not yet been recovered.
