Elderly woman, reported missing, discovered deceased near Elbe's banks.
In a joint press release, the Public Prosecutor's Office Lübeck and the Police Directorate Ratzeburg have confirmed the discovery of the body of an 86-year-old woman from Geesthacht. The deceased was reported missing to the police on 26.08.2025.
The body was retrieved by rescue services in Geesthacht on the same day, around 11:45 AM. The discovery was made in the water near Werfstraße in Geesthacht.
The incident took place in the District of Herzogtum Lauenburg on 26.08.2025. At this point, there are no indications of foul play in the death of the elderly woman.
