New Electric Vehicle on the Horizon: The BYD Atto 2 EV
The BYD Atto 2 EV is set to make its mark in the automotive industry, offering a unique blend of modern features and eco-friendly technology.
Powered by a front-wheel drive system, the Atto 2 EV boasts a peak power output of 174 bhp and a maximum torque of 290 Nm, provided by its FWD motor. This combination promises a swift acceleration, allowing the vehicle to go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds.
The electric powertrain also enables the Atto 2 EV to reach a top speed of 160 kmph. The vehicle's performance is further supported by its 45 kWh BYD Blade battery pack, which is claimed to deliver a WLTP-rated range of up to 463 km on a single charge.
In terms of comfort and convenience, the Atto 2 EV offers a panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically folding ORVMs, and rain-sensing wipers. The vehicle also features 'Mobius Ring' connected LED tail lights and comes equipped with an NFC key.
However, details about the dimensions, interior features, safety features, and charging time of the Atto 2 EV are yet to be disclosed.
If the Atto 2 EV is launched in India, it is expected to be priced around ₹35 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it may compete with the Mahindra XEV 9e. The vehicle will also feature aluminium roof rails, adding to its aesthetic appeal.
