Mercedes Unveils Electric C-Class EQ: A Leap Forward in Electric Mid-Size Models

Mercedes-Benz has announced the upcoming debut of its first non-SUV electric mid-size model, the C-Class EQ. Set to premiere at the IAA 2025, the electric C-Class is poised to hit the market in 2026.

The C-Class EQ is built upon the MB.EA platform, sharing its platform and powertrain with its SUV sibling, the GLC EQ. While the GLC EQ's grille design has been revealed, the article does not provide further details about it beyond its striking similarity to classic Mercedes models, featuring an iconic grille with four louvers.

The electric C-Class EQ boasts an advanced powertrain, including silicon carbide inverters and a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, aimed at enhancing acceleration and efficiency.
