Electronics Recycling Event to be Hosted by Middleton Next Week
Middleton residents, mark your calendars! Next week, on Tuesday, September 9, the E-cycle for Equity event will be taking place at 2501 Parmenter Street, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event aims to promote sustainable electronics recycling while also giving back to the community.
However, it's important to note that not all electronics are acceptable as donations. The event organisers have specified a list of unacceptable items, which includes air conditioners, air fryers, washers, and dryers. Unfortunately, dryers and washers are not eligible for donation, along with air conditioners and air fryers.
On the other hand, the event welcomes a variety of USB devices, battery backup units, and lithium batteries. By donating these items, you're helping to ensure that they can be safely and responsibly recycled, reducing their environmental impact.
In addition to the electronics recycling aspect, the E-cycle for Equity event is also aiming to collect two tons of food for Way Forward Resources. So, if you have any non-perishable food items to donate, please bring them along as well.
This event is a great opportunity for Middleton residents to contribute to a greener and more supportive community. We hope to see many of you there!
