Emergency helicopter transports severely burned woman from hospital in Heidenheim, Brenz, following a fire incident.
A fire broke out in a multi-family house on Stein Street, Ulm, around 9:15 AM on an unspecified day. The Ulm Police Headquarters, located at [email protected], are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
The fire reportedly started in an apartment on the second floor and quickly spread to the attic, causing two small explosions. As a result, an electrical box in the living room caught fire and spread to the kitchen and attic, causing extensive damage.
The 35-year-old resident of the affected apartment was severely injured and had to be taken to a specialized clinic after jumping out of the second-floor window. Other residents in the building made their way to safety outside.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the flames by 9:50 AM. The building, however, is currently uninhabitable due to the extensive damage caused by the fire.
Initial findings suggest that the estimated damage is around 400,000 to 500,000 euros. The Heidenheim Criminal Police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.
