Russian President Vladimir Putin recently emphasized the importance of private investors and venture capital in supporting innovative ideas and new technological projects, particularly in the Far East region of Russia.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum (16+) in Vladivostok, Putin highlighted the need to make the Far East a leading region in Russia's digital development. He emphasized the significance of data circulation with an emphasis on confidentiality and security.

To achieve this, Putin announced plans to establish at least 10 technology parks in the Far East and Arctic regions of Russia. These parks will offer modern infrastructure and capabilities in demand by companies implementing innovative initiatives.

The president also noted that conditions will be created to stimulate the development of domestic production through the use of offset contracts. Offset contracts involve investors investing in new factories, workshops, and enterprises under guaranteed state orders. The practice of interregional offset contracts, where production is established in one region and products are supplied to several regions under guaranteed orders, is also important.

One example of financing for innovative ideas and new technological projects is the Fund "Vostok". The Group "Interros" serves as the anchor investor for this fund. The Fund "Vostok" has already supported around 40 companies in robotics, medicine, and space technologies.

However, there are no search results providing information about the companies and investors supported by the fund "Vostok" or about projects funded by it that represent Russia's technological leadership.

Putin also mentioned the upcoming forum on artificial intelligence, where the topic of digital development in the Far East will be revisited. No new fact about the forum was provided.

By 2030, Russia plans to open at least 100 industrial, business, and technology parks across the country. Putin asked the government to study the experience of the Fund "Vostok" and help scale its work to projects of technological leadership in Russia.

Despite the president's comments being reported by IA PrimaMedia, no new fact about the president's specific comments was provided in the report.
