EnergyX Acquires Significant Location for Project LonestarTM Lithium Factory at TexAmericas Center

In a significant development for the clean energy sector, EnergyX has secured a site for its Project LonestarTM Lithium Demonstration Plant at TexAmericas Center in Texarkana, Texas. This blueprint for securing critical minerals and accelerating the clean energy transition is expected to bring sustainable prosperity to the local community.

EnergyX, headquartered in Austin, TX, is investing approximately $20 million into their 22,000 square foot lithium demonstration plant. The expansion in the Texarkana region will create over 40 new highly skilled jobs, offering competitive wages above industry standards.

The Project LonestarTM Lithium Demonstration Plant, repurposed from former defense infrastructure, will optimize new construction, curb waste, and support cleaner operations. The plant will contribute to immediate economic benefits in the region, making it a crucial addition to TexAmericas Center, a multimodal transportation hub and the nation's 5th ranked industrial park.

Scott Norton, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of TexAmericas Center, expressed his support for the alignment of EnergyX's vision with TexAmericas Center's eco-industrial park transition. EnergyX's expansion in the Texarkana region will prioritize inclusive hiring for veterans, women, and minority-owned businesses, further bolstering the local economy.

EnergyX's LiTAS direct lithium extraction technologies and SoLiSTM solid-state batteries are designed to build advanced tools for America's clean energy economy. These technologies will be showcased at the Project LonestarTM Lithium Demonstration Plant, marking a significant step forward in EnergyX's rapid scaling since its founding in 2018.

The expansion will also include employee ownership through equity participation, reflecting EnergyX's commitment to its workforce and the local community.
