Enhanced Blood Donations in Baix Vinalopo Region

This significant rise has made a substantial impact on the region's healthcare system, helping hospitals meet their daily needs.

Lingen, a city not too far away, has also experienced a similar surge in blood donations, with an increase of over 8% in the same period. Elche, Crevillent, and Santa Pola, all part of the Baix Vinalopo area, have joined in this noble cause, contributing to the overall total of 6,798 donors.

Alfonso Parra, the spokesperson for the Alicante Transfusion Centre, has expressed his gratitude towards the community in the Baix Vinalopo area for their generosity. He emphasised the critical importance of blood donations, stating that blood cannot be artificially produced. Every donation, no matter how small, can have a life-saving impact.

The trend of increased donations in the Baix Vinalopo area is being encouraged to continue. Mobile units, a key factor in this surge, visit universities, schools, and workplaces, making blood donation more accessible.
