Enhancing Windows 11 Security for Business Environments at iX workshop

In a move to empower businesses with the knowledge and skills to secure their Windows 11 systems, Microsoft has announced a series of workshops aimed at IT professionals. The first workshop, titled "Securing Windows 11 in the Enterprise," will take place online from the 9th to the 10th of September, 2025.

This two-day workshop, led by Christian Biehler, an expert in information management and IT security, will cover both classic on-premise installations of Windows 11 and hybrid models in combination with Entra ID and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune). Participants will learn how to use Microsoft's security features and tools to secure their systems, and will be shown practical demonstrations of vulnerabilities and the typical tools used by attackers.

The workshop will also teach how to implement specific hardening and protection measures. It provides ample opportunity for questions and discussion, ensuring that participants can fully understand the concepts being taught.

The September workshop is the first of three workshops taking place in 2025. The next ones are scheduled for October 14-15, 2025, and November 18-19, 2025. Dr. Markus Weber, who specializes in Windows security, enterprise IT infrastructures, and cybersecurity best practices, will lead the October workshop. The November workshop will be led by Christian Biehler once more.

Each workshop will cover the same topics: securing Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise in corporate networks. They will demonstrate how to securely operate Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise in corporate networks, and will provide ample opportunity for questions and discussion, just like the September workshop.

Microsoft offers useful security features, but they are not enabled by default and need to be configured. Participants will learn how to use these security mechanisms and tools to secure their systems, ensuring that their networks remain protected against potential threats.

A 10% early bird discount is available until September 15, 2025, for the September workshop. Similarly, a 10% early bird discount is available until September 15, 2025, for the October workshop, and until October 20, 2025, for the November workshop.

It is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals to gain the knowledge and skills needed to secure their Windows 11 systems effectively.
