Ensured seamless traffic flow during significant road reconstruction by Ras Al Khaimah Police

In the heart of Ras Al Khaimah, Brigadier General Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, the Acting Police Chief, recently inspected Mohammed bin Salem Road, currently undergoing a major upgrade. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure traffic remains smooth and safe during the roadworks.

Brig. Gen. Al Tair was accompanied by Brigadier General Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi, Director General of Central Operations, and other senior officers. The inspection covered the stretch from Emirates Roundabout to Al Hamra Roundabout, as well as the newly constructed alternative route.

During the inspection, Colonel Dr. Salem Rashid Al Mesafri, Head of Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station, briefed Brig. Gen. Al Tair on last weekend's traffic monitoring results. Last weekend's results showed a clear improvement in traffic flow due to the presence of police patrols at key points.

Brigadier General Al Tair emphasized road user safety and comfort as top priorities. He called on police patrols to remove obstacles and coordinate closely with the Public Services Department and contractors. The Public Services Department has built several side roads to improve access to businesses and facilities affected by the road replacement project.

The field adjustments made by the Public Services Department and project contractors also contributed to the improvement in traffic flow. Brigadier General Al Tair directed police and traffic teams to take every necessary step to keep vehicles moving freely on the alternative route.

Brigadier General Al Tair stated that by working together, they can keep traffic flowing and protect everyone on the road. The leadership of the Department of Transportation during the current road construction on Mohammed bin Salem Road has been taken over by Saeed Al Shamsi.

The inspection was a testament to the ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and maintain safety during the roadworks. By working collaboratively, the authorities aim to minimise disruptions and maintain the comfort and safety of road users in Ras Al Khaimah.
