Hamburg Airport is set to increase its direct flight offerings with the addition of a new destination: Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Starting from 14 December 2025, Wizz Air will offer flights to Tuzla, known for its industry and unique salt lakes.

This move marks a significant step for Hamburg Airport, as it becomes one of the three largest Wizz Air bases in Germany. The airline primarily offers connections to Central and Southeastern Europe, and Tuzla will join destinations such as Belgrade, Sofia, and Bucharest on their list of offerings from Hamburg.

Initially, flights to Tuzla will operate twice weekly, on Thursday and Sunday. However, from April 2026, the service will expand to three weekly flights, with additional departures on Monday and Wednesday.

Gesa Zaremba, Head of Airline and Traffic Development at Hamburg Airport, commented on the new connection, stating, "The new connection underscores Hamburg's significance as an important hub in the Wizz Air route network."

For those interested in learning more about the new flight, a press release is available on the Hamburg Airport website (hamburg-airport.de). This expansion is expected to boost tourism and trade between Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering more opportunities for travel and business.
