Promoting Safe Riding Practices for E-Bikes, Bicycles, and E-Scooters

In the coming weeks, several events will be held in Warendorf, Telgte, and Ahlen to promote safe riding practices for e-bikes, bicycles, and e-scooters. These events are open to all residents and visitors of these districts and aim to educate the public about the proper handling and safe operation of these vehicles.

The Warendorf Police will offer safety tips at various locations in the district, including the Market Square and Town Hall. The specific dates and times for these events will be announced soon.

The event in Ahlen will take place on Sunday, 24th August 2025, from 12:00 to 17:00. It will be held at the Sattelfest, Zeche Ahlen and will provide information about the proper handling of e-scooters, as well as safety tips for e-bikes and bicycles. This event is free and open to the public.

In addition to the events in Warendorf and Ahlen, safety tips for e-bikes, bicycles, and e-scooters will also be provided at the Weekly Market in Telgte on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, from 14:00 to 18:00.

E-bikes, in particular, require special attention as they often reach higher speeds than other bikes. Both car drivers and e-bike riders themselves need to be aware of the unique challenges associated with e-bikes.

The events in Warendorf, Telgte, and Ahlen are part of the traffic accident prevention department's initiatives. They are designed to reduce accidents involving e-scooters and promote safe riding practices. Discussions about common causes of e-scooter accidents, legal regulations, and proposed measures for accident reduction will also be part of these events.
