European Lawmakers, Unified in Action
In the city of Arnsberg, the Arnsberg Network Dementia is set to host an Open Discussion Circle on Dementia, a regular event that has been running since October 2024. This upcoming session is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3rd, at 6 pm.
The Open Discussion Circle aims to provide a protected setting for relatives of people with dementia to exchange ideas and share experiences. This initiative is part of the city's commitment to supporting those caring for loved ones with dementia.
It is estimated that around 70% of care-dependent people with dementia live at home, cared for by their relatives. Caring for someone with dementia can often be physically and emotionally demanding, and many relatives may feel restricted in their ability to meet their own needs, such as pursuing professional activities, maintaining friendships, or engaging in hobbies.
Judith Wohlgemuth, the Specialist for the Future of Ageing in the City of Arnsberg, oversees the Arnsberg Network Dementia. She works in the "Fachstelle Zukunft Alter" (Office for Future Aging) within the city administration.
The location for the exchange is the Multigenerational House at Hellefelder StraΓe 15 in 59821 Arnsberg. Participation in the Open Discussion Circle is free and registration is not required.
If you have any questions about the Arnsberg Network Dementia's Open Discussion Circle, please contact Judith Wohlgemuth at Tel. 02932 201 2213 or via email at j.wohlgemuth@our website. The Arnsberg Network Dementia looks forward to welcoming you to the Open Discussion Circle and creating a supportive environment for those caring for loved ones with dementia.
