Prof. Ulrich Meining, the esteemed music professor, will lead a group of students and pupils in a captivating piano evening event at the Wiesbaden Music Academy and the Wiesbaden Music and Art School on September 11, 2025. The program, which promises to be a musical journey through time, will feature piano works from both the Impressionism and Romantic periods.
The event, highly anticipated by music enthusiasts, will include Preludes by Claude Debussy, a renowned figure in Impressionist music. The program will also showcase Kinderszenen op. 15 by Robert Schumann, a piece from the German Romanticism period, and Frédéric Chopin's piano works, both of which are integral to the Romantic era.
The evening's centrepiece will be Maurice Ravel's "Miroirs," a work of French Impressionism that is a fitting tribute to the composer on the occasion of his 150th birthday. Another highlight of the program is the Abegg Variations op. 1 by Robert Schumann, another piece from the German Romanticism period.
The students and pupils have worked diligently to learn these piano pieces and will present them this evening. The press release for the event was issued by the Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden, located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden.
