In the past day, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Rhein-Kreis Neuss has risen, with the total now standing at 1,154. The district's 7-day incidence value, as reported by the North Rhine-Westphalia Health Authority, has risen to 131.1.

Regrettably, three more lives have been lost due to the virus. A 45-year-old woman from Neuss, a 67-year-old man from Grevenbroich, and a 70-year-old man from Dormagen have passed away. The total number of deaths in the district now stands at 300.

However, there are currently no hotspots in the district. A total of 56 individuals are in stationary treatment.

The British virus variant B.1.1.7 has been detected in 721 cases, while the South African variant B.1.351 has been found in 28 cases in the district.
