FC Barcelona Installs Philips Urban LED 7000 Series LED Wall at Training Campus

FC Barcelona, the reigning La Liga and Copa del Rey champions, have taken a significant step in enhancing their training facilities by installing a Philips Urban LED 7000 Series LED wall at their Ciutat Esportiva training campus.

The installation, completed in partnership with PPDS and local LED integration expert, LED Dream, was carried out efficiently and on time. The LED wall, measuring 18x9.8 feet, is located on Pitch 1, which is the first team's official training area and is now known as Camp Tito Vilanova.

The Philips Urban LED 7000 Series LED wall boasts a high brightness of 6,000 nits, making it capable of withstanding various weather and lighting conditions, including heavy rain, direct sunlight, and floodlight glare. It also has an IP66 rating, making it resistant to dust and corrosive airborne salt spray from the nearby Mediterranean sea.

Cesar Sans, Sales Director for Iberia at PPDS, commented that the display offers new levels of analysis, including player data and tactical decisions. He further stated that the wall could be the difference between success and failure for the team.

The Philips Urban LED 7000 Series LED wall provides multiple live views of the action to the coaching staff, offering detailed real-time player analysis. It also features instant review and replay capabilities, ensuring the coaches have all the necessary tools for making tactical decisions.

The LED wall seamlessly integrates into the stadium infrastructure, causing minimal disruption to the team's training schedule. With its pixel pitch of 3.9pp, the wall offers a clear and crisp view of the action, not just for the coaching team or those in attendance, but also for deeper analysis.

The installation of the Philips Urban LED 7000 Series LED wall is part of FC Barcelona's efforts to upgrade Pitch 1 ahead of the 2025/2026 La Liga season. This investment underscores the club's commitment to maintaining its position at the forefront of football technology and training facilities.
