The Opel Astra, a long-standing favourite in the compact car market, has received a significant upgrade for its 2021 model. The new Astra boasts a host of innovative features, improved safety ratings, and an electric variant introduced in 2023.

Starting with the design, the Opel Vizor replaces the traditional grille, seamlessly integrating the LED headlights' signature Haken design. The interior showcases the glass "Pure Panel," featuring two 10-inch widescreen displays. Ergonomic seats, certified by AGR, ensure comfort for long journeys.

The steering wheel and standard wireless smartphone connection via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are entirely new in this model. Safety-wise, the Astra is equipped with comprehensive assistance systems, including five cameras, five radar sensors, and two ultrasonic sensors. It has received four out of five possible stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.

The Opel Astra (2021) offers a trunk capacity of 422 to 1339 liters, while the Sports Tourer variant extends this to 608 to 1634 liters. The Sports Tourer's wheelbase has been extended by 57 mm to 2.73 m.

In terms of dimensions, the Astra measures 4.38 m in length and 1.86 m in width, while the Sports Tourer is 4.64 m long, 1.86 m wide, and 1.48 m high.

The Astra (2021) has a towing capacity of 1200 kg (gasoline) or 1400 kg (gasoline with automatic) and 1500 kg (diesel). The gasoline engine can tow up to 1250 kg (with eight-speed automatic up to 1400 kg), while the diesel engine can tow up to 1550 kg.

The Opel Astra Electric was introduced to the market in June 2023 as the first fully electric version of the Astra model. The electric Sports Tourer offers 516 to 1553 liters of luggage space.

In summary, the Opel Astra (2021) continues to deliver a compelling package with its modern design, advanced technology, and practicality, while the electric variant adds a sustainable option for environmentally conscious consumers.
