Exciting Activities to Engage in Calgary Over the Weekend

On Friday, September 5th, catch the live orchestral performance of music from the beloved game Stardew Valley at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, starting at 8 p.m. If you're looking for something earlier in the day, head over to Inglewood where the Night Market is happening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., located at 10 Avenue and 10 Street S.E., near The Nash restaurant.
For those who love comedy, Farren Timoteo's one-man show "Made in Italy" is a must-see. The comedy, which is being performed at the Martha Cohen Theatre until September 21, 2025, tells the story of a second-generation Italian immigrant in 1970s Jasper, Alberta. Timoteo portrays over 25 characters, blending humor, family, tradition, and music.
If you're in the mood for a murder mystery, Shear Madness, a comedy play centered around a hair salon, is being presented by Stage West Calgary from September 5th to November 9, 2025. Meanwhile, Jubilations Dinner Theatre Calgary is presenting Top Gunn 2: A Supersonic Spoof, a musical mission set to hit songs from the 80s, until October 18, 2025.
