Costco Introduces Enhanced Benefits for Executive Members

Costco, the popular retailer known for its warehouse stores, has announced new benefits for its Executive Membership. The membership, which costs double the Gold Star membership at $130 annually, comes with additional perks that could potentially offset the higher cost.

For starters, Executive members will enjoy earlier store access, with doors opening at 9 a.m. every day, starting from June 30. This early extra shopping hour will only be applied to Executive members moving forward, as the extended hours for all members will close at 7 p.m.

One of the most significant benefits of the Executive Membership is the cash back incentives. Executive members can earn a 2% cash back on every purchase, up to $1,250 annually. This cash back can be particularly advantageous when it comes to travel-related purchases through Costco Travel. Members can earn 2% cash back on flights, rental cars, and hotel bookings, helping them reach the cash back threshold faster.

In addition to the cash back, Executive members can also earn a $10 monthly credit when placing orders exceeding $150 through Instacart or Costco's "Same-day" service. This credit can be a nice bonus for those who frequently use these services.

Signing up for the Executive Membership during a limited time will also receive a $40 shop card, courtesy of Stack Social.

Costco Travel, the all-in-one hub for booking vacations, is offering some exciting deals for members. Members can score a free night at resorts in Hawaii or Cancun through limited-time offers.

With the Gold Star membership, members can shop at any warehouse location or through Costco's website. The Gold Star membership costs $65 annually and entitles two shopper cards. While it doesn't offer the same benefits as the Executive Membership, it still provides a convenient shopping experience for many.

In conclusion, Costco's Executive Membership offers earlier store access and cash back incentives, making it an attractive option for frequent shoppers and travellers. However, the higher membership cost can be offset by the benefits, especially for those who spend over $3,250 per year, according to CNBC.
