Historisches Museum Hanau Schloss Philippsruhe
On Thursday, 18th September, at 18:00, immerse yourself in the world of Anton Wilhelm Tischbein, Court Painter and Academy Teacher, with a free lecture titled "Stepping Out of the Shadows!". The special exhibition "Johann Philipp Thelott: Frankfurt Copper Engraver with Hanau Connection" is running until an unspecified date. On Thursday, 25th September, from 18:00-19:00, join the After-Work Tour in Schlosspark Philippsruhe, which includes a drink and fruit, for a price of 11 € (10 € reduced).
On Sunday, 20th September, from 15:00 - 16:00, families can enjoy a Little Red Riding Hood Tour on World Children's Day, for a price of Children 2.50 €, Adults 7 €, and Families 12 €. On Sunday, 21st September, from 15:00-15:30, there's a "Once Upon a Time..." - Fairy Tale Time, and from 16:00-17:00, a Literary Autumn Stroll, both part of GardenRheinMain, KulturRegion FrankfurtRheinMain, for a price of 8 € (7 € reduced) and 8 € respectively.
Museum Großauheim
The special exhibition "Hanau to the World: Design by Lars Contzen" is running until 30th November 2025. On Sunday, 28th September, from 11:00-17:00, join the Family Day: "Steam off" at Museum Großauheim and in the Technikpark. The program can be found on the website.
Museum Schloss Steinheim
The special exhibition "Prinz Georg's Garden Dream" is running until 19th October 2025. On 14th September, at 15:00, a tour of the special exhibition will be held as part of the "Urban Change Naturally" action weeks, for a price of 3 € plus admission. On the same day, a family Celtic Costume Tour will also be held at 15:00, for a price of Children 2.50€, Adults 6€, and Families 10€. Museum Schloss Steinheim is open Saturdays and Sundays 11-5 pm.
Special Exhibitions
The special exhibition "Franz Nickel: Renowned Hanau Painter with a Famous Family" is a cabinet exhibition at Historisches Museum Hanau Schloss Philippsruhe, running until an unspecified date. The special exhibition "People, Tales, Myths: Discover Georg Cornicelius" is running at Historisches Museum Hanau Schloss Philippsruhe until 26th April 2026.

The Historisches Museum Hanau Schloss Philippsruhe is open Tue-Fri 10-5 PM, Thu 10-7 PM, Sat/Sun 11-6 PM. Museum Großauheim is open Saturdays and Sundays 11-5 pm.
