Expanding feathers in Albuquerque: Lucky Goose broadens its city base with a second outlet offering delicious eats

Lucky Goose, the popular plant-based comfort food restaurant, is set to open a second location in Albuquerque. The new restaurant will be situated at 4416 Wyoming NE, marking a significant step in the growth of the business.

The first Lucky Goose opened its doors at 3503 Central NE in 2022, and since then, it has garnered multiple accolades. The restaurant has been recognised as serving the best milkshake in Albuquerque and has even been nominated for the best breakfast sandwich in the country.

The owners, Melissa Timmons and Rafael Guillen, launched Lucky Goose out of a food truck in 2021. Since then, they have been dedicated to making a wider variety of vegan options accessible to more people. The expansion aligns perfectly with this mission.

The new location is expected to create approximately 12 full- and part-time positions, providing opportunities for local residents. The owners prioritise promoting within the business and aim to make the new location a place for employees to grow.

Lucky Goose offers a diverse menu, with items like burgers, chicken, hot dogs, chile cheese fries, and milkshakes, many of which are not typically available as vegan options. The new location will offer some new items, such as possibly tacos or a deli sandwich.

Melissa Timmons, one of the owners, is particularly excited about the new location's parking lot. She mentioned that the hard times were in the past, such as the food truck days, and now things come a little easier as the restaurant thrives and does well.

However, one of the greatest hardships the restaurant has faced is the sudden death of one of its staff members, Jaden Santini, in December. Santini, who was supposed to take over managing the Nob Hill location someday, passed away in her sleeping pod. The new location will have a commemorative tribute to her.

Guillen, who has been a vegan since he was 15 years old, creates all of Lucky Goose's recipes. The most popular items include the Lucky Burger, the Lucky Chick'n sandwich, and milkshakes.

The new Lucky Goose location at 4416 Wyoming NE will open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The owners are looking forward to serving the Northeast Heights community and continuing to make a difference in the vegan food scene in Albuquerque.
