Expansion of Fischenich's district heating system
In the heart of Hürth, a city committed to promoting sustainable energy solutions, construction work on the district heating network expansion is set to commence from July 21 to August 12, 2025, in the district of Fischenich.
Hürth Stadtwerke, the city's utilities provider, apologises for any inconvenience caused by the temporary traffic restrictions during this period. A detour for through traffic will be established, and the affected street section, Am Druvendriesch, from the access road Gennerstraße to house number 8a, will be completely closed to through traffic during construction.
Local traffic can access the construction site up to the point of construction. However, during the construction period, Rebenfeld street can only be reached via Platzstraße. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site without restrictions.
The goal of this construction is to ensure a sustainable energy supply and connect more households to an environmentally friendly system. The project is part of a larger initiative managed by Hürth Stadtwerke.
For those affected by the traffic restrictions, it is recommended to follow the signposted detour. The project manager for the expansion of the district heating network in Hürth is not specified in the available information.
For any inquiries, residents can contact E. Marx at Hürth Stadtwerke via phone: 02233 / 7106375. Hürth Stadtwerke can also be found online at their official website (Hürth Stadtwerke).
Construction work will take place on weekdays for eight hours each day. The detour for through traffic during the construction period remains in place.
Despite the temporary disruptions, the city of Hürth continues to strive towards a greener and more sustainable future. For updates on other construction sites in Hürth, stay tuned.
