Experience a variety of sports in a single day: Open Sports Day at HTB

On Saturday, April 20th, the Jahnheight Sports Facility at the HTB is hosting an open day, inviting everyone to explore a variety of sports from 11 am to 3 pm.

The event is packed with activities, including table tennis and fencing trials in the newly refurbished gymnastics rooms downstairs. Moving up to the dojo on the upper floor of the clubhouse, you'll find demonstrations of striking, kicking, and throwing techniques by the karate and judo departments.

For those interested in ball sports, the football department will have all teams represented in every age group, and visitors can even try their hand at the sport themselves. The cricket department is extending a warm invitation to visitors and their families for a joint cricket game.

If you're a fan of court sports, you'll be delighted to know that there will be tennis and American football on offer. For something a bit different, don't miss the Brazilian Futsal School's presentation from 1:30 to 3 pm.

If dance is more your style, the dance department will put on a varied show with different groups, and the kids from acrobatics are particularly excited about their performance. The new cheer department will also present their choreographies and provide information about training times and groups.

For adults looking to get involved, there's a trial training led by personal trainer Anna-Maria for parents. And for those interested in unicycling, coach Johanna will lead a workshop from 1 to 2 pm.

In addition to the sports activities, a flea market will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on the kindergarten grounds, with a setup at 9 am and a stand fee of 5 euros per meter. Registration is under [email protected].

Lastly, if you're a football enthusiast, don't forget to catch the B-junior girls Bundesliga football match against SV Meppen, which kicks off at 2 pm. Spectators are encouraged to attend and support the players.

The complete program for the open day can be found online. Come along and enjoy a day filled with sports, fun, and community spirit!
