Experience the Gran Turismo thrill in reality with the Porsche Podium Pursuit racing event

The Porsche Club of New Zealand, in conjunction with MyRaceRide.com, has launched the "Porsche Podium Pursuit" Scholarship for the upcoming 2025/26 season of the Porsche Championship. This exciting opportunity aims to give aspiring racers a gateway into top-level motorsport.

Eligibility and Requirements

The program is open to drivers who have not previously competed in the New Zealand Porsche Championship, and age is no barrier, with eligible applicants ranging from 16 to 60 years old. However, the successful candidate should have some previous motorsport experience, although the program is not designed for novice drivers.

Interested applicants should register and submit their details via the form available on the MyRaceRide.com website. Entries should include a short, written CV outlining motorsport experience and a short video (maximum of 2 minutes).

Rewards and Mentoring

The winner of the selection competition will be granted the use of a race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5 for the entire six-round season, generously provided by MyRaceRide.com. The winner will also receive season-long mentoring from an experienced Boxster competitor.

In addition, the winner will need to fund their own consumables (tyres, fuel, brakes, entry fees), and they will be responsible for transportation, maintenance, and servicing of the race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5 by an approved race preparation provider. A damage bond will also be required for the race-prepared Porsche Boxster 2.5.

Promotional Opportunities

The selected driver must be available for interviews and promotional opportunities throughout the season. The car can be branded with personal sponsor signage at the driver's discretion.

Evaluation Criteria

Judges will evaluate driving potential, media awareness, and the ability to promote the Porsche Racing Series.

Important Dates

Entries close on 12 September 2025. The winner will be announced shortly after the closing date.

For those eager to take their motorsport career to the next level, the Porsche Podium Pursuit Scholarship offers an unparalleled opportunity. Don't miss out on this chance to race in the Porsche Championship with the support of the Porsche Club of New Zealand and MyRaceRide.com.
